Superpedestrian is a transportation robotics firm that builds light electric vehicle fleets and safety software.
Superpedestrian has secured $125m in a fresh funding round comprising both debt and equity. Jefferies, Antara Capital, Sony Innovation Fund, and FM Capital participated alongside existing investors Spark Capital, General Catalyst, and Citi via the Citi Impact Fund.
The company will use the proceeds to scale its LINK shared e-scooter service, advance research and development initiatives, and roll out its Pedestrian Defense safety system across 25 cities in the United States and Europe.
Spinning out of MIT in 2013, Superpedestrian focuses on improving urban micro-mobility through advanced sensor integration and automated vehicle intelligence. The latest capital injection follows extensive field testing of its safety technology.
