A London based startup developing artificial intelligence tools to improve the efficiency of police operations.
Former detective Steven Richardson has built 22one into a company valued at approximately $400m. The London based startup secured backing from venture capital firms Sequoia, General Catalyst, Lux Capital, and Creandum, according to reports in the Financial Times. The exact amount of capital raised remains undisclosed.
The investment arrives as the UK government pushes to integrate artificial intelligence across its forty three police forces through programmes such as PoliceAI. Richardson previously co founded Riven, a document redaction software maker later acquired by NEC Software Solutions. The backing firms bring substantial experience in the defence and public sector technology markets.
