Stanhope AI is a London based deep tech startup pioneering brain inspired artificial intelligence for physical environments. The firm develops adaptive intelligence frameworks designed to function in dynamic real world settings.
Stanhope AI has secured £5.9m in a seed funding round led by Frontline Ventures to advance its adaptive artificial intelligence technology. The financing included participation from Paladin Capital Group and Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund, alongside follow on investments from UCL Technology Fund and MMC Ventures.
The capital will support the ongoing development of the company's Real World Model, which applies the Free Energy Principle to allow machines to learn and adapt continuously in complex physical environments. This brain inspired approach offers an alternative to static large language models by enabling real time decision making in robotics and autonomous systems.
Founded in 2023 by neuroscientists, the company aims to scale its partnerships and field trials across sectors such as defence and industrial automation. The fresh backing coincides with a broader industry transition toward edge computing and on device intelligence.
