Spectral Edge develops image fusion and colour perception technologies to improve visual content on electronic devices. The Cambridge business originated as a spin-out from the University of East Anglia.

Cambridge-based image fusion pioneer Spectral Edge has raised £1.5m in a new funding round backed by IQ Capital, Parkwalk Advisors, Midven, Iceni and Cambridge angel groups.

The capital will be directed towards expanding the team, increasing sales and marketing efforts, and further developing the firm's core Phusion technology.

The company emerged from research collaborations at the University of East Anglia and provides technology that combines satellite, visible, thermal and infrared information to enhance image accessibility.
