Sourcerie has secured £1.8m in a pre-seed funding round co-led by Playfair Capital and Vorwerk Ventures. The capital will support the company as it develops its community driven data platform and launches its bespoke shopping marketplace for the beauty sector.
The financing also drew participation from a roster of angel investors and European fund partners, including figures from Farfetch, Trouva, Amazon, and Zapp. The funding milestone is notable for supporting an all-female founding team at the pre-product and pre-revenue stage, contributing to a diverse cap table with strong female representation.
Founders Kristin Cardwell and Alex Beyer established the business to simplify product discovery in a fragmented global beauty market. The platform matches consumer profiles against extensive product data to deliver tailored recommendations across multiple brands.
