Sona builds workforce management software for shift based industries, bringing scheduling, HR and payroll onto a single platform.
London based workforce management platform Sona has secured $45m in a Series B funding round led by N47. The capital will support the company as it expands into the United States and accelerates the development of its artificial intelligence platform.
The business provides software that brings together scheduling, human resources, payroll, compliance, and analytics for shift workers in sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, and retail. Its technology uses real time factors like weather, revenue, and reservations to automate staffing plans and demand forecasting.
The fresh funding follows participation from existing backers including Felicis, Northzone, Gradient, and Italian Founders Fund, taking the company past $100m in total funding since its launch in 2021. Sona intends to use the investment to build out its New York presence and grow its enterprise partnerships across North America.
From the founder
"Every other enterprise software category has been transformed by AI, but the tools managing the world’s largest workforce are still fundamentally the same systems that were built 20 years ago. We had a ten-year plan. AI made it a one-year plan"
