Edinburgh developer of low-power radio frequency micro-electro-mechanical systems beamforming solutions for satellite communications and wireless markets.
Edinburgh-based antenna developer Sofant Technologies has secured £1.8m in seed funding to finalise product commercialisation. The round was led by Kelvin Capital, with participation from EMV Capital and existing backers.
The capital will support the company as it completes the development of its proprietary radio frequency micro-electro-mechanical systems. Sofant intends to work alongside a high volume commercial foundry and expand its network of industry partnerships.
Kelvin Capital has maintained a backing relationship with the business since 2013. Meanwhile, EMV Capital secured a seat on the board as part of the transaction.
