SMASH operates a mobile application designed to offer young adults discounts on healthier food options at participating retailers. The platform aims to encourage better dietary habits among teenagers and young adults.
SMASH has secured £1m in a seed funding round led by Guy's and St Thomas' Charity. The capital will support the launch of the startup app in early 2021, which provides discounts on healthier food choices for young people.
The company is chaired by Paul Lindley and was founded by Chris Holmes. The funding arrives as the hospitality sector seeks recovery and public health measures increasingly target youth obesity.
