Skyfarer is a drone logistics operator focused on commercialising unmanned flight for medical deliveries. The company develops the systems and planning required to transport critical healthcare supplies between hospitals.

Skyfarer has secured seed investment from Minerva Business Angels to support its upcoming medical delivery trials in the West Midlands. The funding marks a significant milestone for the angel network, representing its hundredth investment since operations began.

The capital will be directed towards software development, flight equipment, and connectivity technology for trials involving the transport of blood and pathology samples between hospitals. These operations aim to demonstrate the viability of autonomous aviation within controlled airspace and alleviate ground-level congestion.

Originally established as a drone manufacturer, the company shifted its focus to operational systems and logistics management. The current funding supports preparations for commercialisation planned for next year.
