SKIN secures £50k from Sara Davies to fund global expansion.
The funding follows an appearance on Dragons' Den to support international growth.
SKIN operates a price comparison application for skincare and beauty products, connecting consumers with major retailers and brands. The platform provides real-time alerts when favourite items go on sale.
London-based beauty price comparison application SKIN has secured £50k in funding from investor Sara Davies following an appearance on the television programme Dragons' Den. The capital will support the founders as they take the platform to international markets.
The business was established during the 2020 lockdown by entrepreneurs Flinty Bane and Ben Barter. The application tracks prices across thousands of brands and major retailers to help consumers secure deals on cosmetics and personal care products.
From the founder
"Entering the Den was unbelievably exciting and nerve-wracking. We do have plenty of experience pitching for investment – but presenting to a row of high-profile investors on TV is a totally different ball-game. I’ve watched Dragons’ Den since the early days and was delighted when Sara joined the show, bringing a refreshing professional slant."

Investor perspective
"I love the simplicity of Flinty and Ben’s concept. Comparison sites and apps are the norm in so many other retail sectors, so why not beauty? I can’t wait to work with the duo to support and mentor them through the next exciting step, taking SKIN to consumers around the world."
