Shield Space is a British defence technology company that develops autonomous artificial intelligence guidance systems designed to protect satellites from signal jamming and hostile attacks.

Shield Space has secured £2m in funding to launch its inaugural orbital test flight and expand its operations. The financing round was led by Mercia Ventures through the Midlands Engine Investment Fund II, with participation from Twin Path Ventures, ROI Ventures and P3A Ventures. Founded in 2025, the company develops autonomous AI navigation systems that enable satellites to evade signal jamming and physical attacks without ground intervention. The capital will allow the firm to establish new premises in Lincoln, recruit five new staff members, and prepare for its first test flight scheduled for early 2027.
