Second Nature raises £7.7m in a Series A round led by Beringea to scale its digital health platform.

The financing round was led by Beringea with participation from new and existing investors.

Second Nature operates a digital health platform that combines expert clinical guidance with smartphone tracking technology to help users build enduring lifestyle habits. The company works alongside healthcare providers to deliver structured lifestyle change programmes focused on weight management.

Second Nature has secured £7.7m in a Series A funding round led by Beringea. The capital injection also attracted participation from Uniqa Ventures, the founders of mySugr, and existing backers including Connect, Speedinvest, and Bethnal Green Ventures, alongside angel investor Taavet Hinrikus. The company, formerly known as OurPath, will direct the proceeds towards supporting its growth as it addresses rising rates of chronic health conditions.

Established by former NHS strategy consultants, Second Nature delivers digital programmes designed to help users manage weight and reduce the risk of type-2 diabetes. The latest investment follows a seed round in 2018 and brings the total capital raised by the enterprise to $13m.
