SearchLand provides a software platform that automates land and property sourcing for developers, architects, and investors. The London-based startup uses extensive mapping data and analytics to help users identify viable plots and contact landowners.

London-based proptech startup SearchLand has secured £200k in its first external funding round. The seed investment, structured across the SEIS and EIS schemes, came from a syndicate of angel investors.

The newly raised capital will be deployed to expand the sales and marketing teams while further developing the company's automated platform tools. SearchLand has reported consistent monthly growth of 30 percent over the past year and is already looking ahead to a Series A raise in 2023.

The company spent its initial development and launch phases bootstrapped before taking on this first injection of institutional or angel backing. The platform aims to streamline the traditionally arduous task of finding off-market sites by aggregating title boundaries, ownership details, and planning histories into a single interface.

From the founder

"Given the amount of information that must be located and then analysed, sourcing sites is often a huge challenge for property developers; it’s like searching for a needle in a haystack. Understanding this first-hand, we created SearchLand to take pain, complexity and time out of the site-sourcing process."
