Scindo develops a data-rich artificial intelligence platform to discover and design next-generation enzymes for sustainable chemistry. The company enables scalable production of bio-based ingredients across food, flavourings and cosmetics.

Scindo has secured £4m in a funding round co-led by Kadmos Capital and Clay Capital. The financing included participation from PINC alongside existing backers Synbioven, AgFunder, SOSV, Farvatn Venture and Savantus Ventures.

The capital will be directed towards scaling the company's enzyme discovery engine, expanding wet-lab capabilities and strengthening the team. Scindo develops artificial intelligence models combined with reaction data to engineer enzymes that transform renewable feedstocks into high-value bio-based ingredients for specialty chemical and food applications.

The investment arrives as the company builds industrial partnerships and prepares pilot scaling initiatives to bring its sustainable chemical alternatives to market.
