SAVA Technologies secures £6.3m seed funding led by Balderton Capital and Exor Ventures
Balderton Capital and Exor Ventures have led a seed round to help finance clinical trials and expand manufacturing capabilities.
SAVA Technologies develops wearable biosensors designed to track multiple biomarkers from beneath the skin. Its initial product provides an affordable continuous glucose monitoring solution for diabetes patients.
London-based health tech start-up SAVA Technologies has secured £6.3m in a seed funding round. The financing was jointly led by Balderton Capital and Exor Ventures. The company intends to direct the capital towards team expansion, developing its next-generation product line with high-throughput manufacturing, and validating the platform's clinical performance.
Emerging from a five-year stealth period, SAVA is developing a multi-molecule microsensing wearable designed to monitor biomarkers just beneath the skin. The fresh capital arrives shortly after the firm secured MHRA approval to advance its first clinical trials for diabetes management.
