Satellite Vu raises Series A funding to expand thermal satellite constellation into the United States
The second close of the Series A round was joined by participants including Lockheed Martin, In-Q-Tel, and Contrarian Ventures.
Satellite Vu is a climate technology company that captures high-resolution thermal data from space to measure human activity and energy efficiency. Its space-enabled monitoring provides insight into economic activity and carbon footprints.
Satellite Vu has closed the second round of its Series A financing to support its international expansion and satellite deployment plans. The latest capital brings the company total funding to £20m following participation from new investors including Contrarian Ventures, Lockheed Martin, and In-Q-Tel alongside earlier backing from Seraphim Space Investment Trust. The fresh funds will allow the British aerospace firm to accelerate the launch of its thermal imaging constellation and grow its operations in the United States.
