Sano Genetics secures £8.3m in Series A funding to expand international operations and platform capabilities.

The Series A round was led by MMC Ventures with participation from Episode 1, Seedcamp, and angel investors.

Sano Genetics builds software designed to streamline precision medicine clinical trials by combining patient recruitment, genetic testing and ongoing engagement into a single platform. The company works with major pharmaceutical firms and research institutions to accelerate medical breakthroughs.

Cambridge-based healthtech startup Sano Genetics has secured £8.3m in a Series A funding round led by MMC Ventures. The raise also drew participation from Episode 1, Seedcamp, and several angel investors including Paul Forster, Paul Wicks, and Margo Georgiadis.

The fresh capital will be deployed to expand the company team across the US and Europe while scaling its platform capability to cover more than 50 diseases across six countries by mid-2023.

Sano Genetics operates a subscription model for its software platform, which helps pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients streamline participant recruitment and engagement for clinical trials.
