Cambridge-based Sano Genetics has secured £500k in seed funding to advance its genomics research platform and expand personalised medicine initiatives. The round was backed by a group of investors including Seedcamp, Cambridge Enterprise, and several angel backers. The capital will support the company as it scales its participant network and launches new research projects.

The platform connects individuals with relevant medical studies while maintaining data privacy and transparency. Founded by a team of former Cambridge researchers, the firm aims to address shortcomings in traditional genetic data sharing and accelerate drug discovery.
