Regeno secures £422k from a consortium of investors to commercialise its modular wind turbine technology.
The funding round was supported by One Planet Capital, SFC Capital, Scottish Enterprise, and the British Business Bank.
Regeno designs modular, ground-serviced wind turbines intended to lower the cost and logistical complexity of small-scale wind energy.
Glasgow-based wind turbine innovator Regeno has secured £422k in funding from a consortium of backers to support its early commercialisation and field trials. The investment will enable the company to prove its technology and advance towards deploying modular wind turbines that allow for ground-level servicing.
The round was backed by One Planet Capital, Gabriel Investment Syndicate, University of Strathclyde, SFC Capital, Scottish Enterprise, and the British Business Bank. Founded by solo entrepreneur Adarsh Bhardwaj, Regeno aims to eliminate the need for heavy cranes and complex offshore logistics during turbine maintenance.
The fresh capital will be directed towards testing and commercialising the firm's prototype. Following the current phase, the business plans to pursue further funding to secure safety certifications and scale its deployment globally.
From the founder
"My main motivation was the huge opportunity to make an impact when I realized the potential of my idea. This started out as a dissertation on wind turbines and realized this could be so much more. I want to make a difference. We need clean energy fast to meet our targets we are behind on. Hence my inspiration to design a wind turbine that focused on lowering costs, improving logistics and eliminating the need for cranes and large teams to install and maintain wind turbines."

Investor perspective
"At One Planet Capital, we look for high-impact technologies that can genuinely move the needle on the net-zero transition. Regeno’s innovative turbine design does exactly that by solving the significant logistical and financial hurdles that have historically limited wind energy’s reach. We are thrilled to support Adarsh and the team in this next phase of deployment."
