DCVC led the Series A round to support the scale up of artificial intelligence waste sorting systems.
Recycleye provides artificial intelligence and robotics solutions to automate and improve the sorting of dry mixed recycling in waste management facilities.
Recycleye has secured £14m in a Series A funding round led by DCVC to scale its waste sorting technology. The round also saw participation from existing backers including Promus Ventures, Playfair Capital, MMC Ventures, Creator Fund, and Atypical, alongside new Madrid-based investor Seaya Andromeda.
The company combines computer vision and robotics to sort dry mixed recycling with high precision, helping facility managers address labour shortages and rising operational costs. The fresh capital will be directed towards improving the precision of the sorting systems.
Operating internationally with installations across Europe, Australia, and the US, the business aims to transform the economics of material recovery and increase recycling rates globally.
