Realm secures £1.6m in seed funding led by Alphabit to develop its NFT microverse platform.
Alphabit led the seed investment round with backing from several strategic funds.
Realm is an open-source platform enabling creators to build customisable metaverses and mint them as digital tokens. Users can explore diverse virtual environments through augmented reality and collect cross-chain digital pets.
Realm has secured £1.6m in seed investment to expand its team and accelerate product development. Alphabit led the funding round, which also drew participation from NGC, Genesis Block Ventures, LD Capital, Moonrock, and SL2.
The company provides a platform for creators to design personalised virtual spaces using augmented reality and blockchain technology. Fresh capital will be deployed to build smart objects for artists and refine the platform ahead of a scheduled third-quarter debut.
