QV Bioelectronics has raised £2m in a pre-series a financing round led jointly by Science Angel Syndicate and Fink Family Office. The company plans to apply the fresh capital towards completing pre-clinical studies and device design for its flagship brain tumour treatment, GRACE.
Additional backing for the round came from Northern Gritstone, Elbow Beach Capital, and returning investors SOSV and Catapult Ventures. The funding marks an important milestone as the medtech start-up prepares to take its electric field therapy technology into clinical trials.
