QuantrolOx raises £1.4m in seed funding led by Nielsen Ventures and Hoxton Ventures to advance quantum computing software

QuantrolOx develops automated machine learning control software designed to tune, stabilise and optimise qubits for quantum technologies. The Oxford spinoff creates technology agnostic solutions aimed at accelerating the deployment of scalable quantum computers.
QuantrolOx has secured £1.4m in seed funding to accelerate the development of scalable quantum computing. The round was led by Nielsen Ventures and Hoxton Ventures, with participation from Voima Ventures, Remus Capital, Dr Hermann Hauser and Laurent Caraffa.
The capital will support the company as it advances its machine learning control software, which addresses the complex challenge of characterising and managing qubits at scale. Current manual tuning methods present a major bottleneck for the sector, making intelligent automation necessary as quantum processors grow in size.
Spun out of Oxford, QuantrolOx builds technology agnostic software applicable across various quantum architectures, with an initial focus on solid-state qubits. The founding team brings together deep-tech entrepreneurs and leading quantum researchers.
