Purple Dot operates an ecommerce platform that enables fashion brands to manage pre-orders and waitlists. The system aims to align manufacturing quantities with actual consumer demand.

Purple Dot has secured £7.9m in a Series A funding round led by OpenOcean. The financing also saw participation from Commerce Ventures alongside existing backers Unusual Ventures, Connect Ventures, Moxxie Ventures, and Paul Forster.

The capital will be directed towards further platform development and expanding the company reach across various industry sectors. Based between London and Charlotte, the startup seeks to address chronic supply chain inefficiencies by allowing retailers to sell goods prior to physical warehousing.
