Proxymity raises $20.5m in a strategic round to spin out as an independent entity backed by global financial institutions.

The strategic funding round was backed by eight major financial institutions including BNY Mellon, Citi, Clearstream, Computershare, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, and State Street.
Proxymity operates a digital investor communications platform connecting issuers, intermediaries, and investors through a proprietary network. The company offers real-time proxy voting and automated shareholder disclosure solutions.
Proxymity has raised $20.5m in a strategic investment round to transition into an independent entity backed by an industry-led consortium. The financing features participation from eight major global financial institutions including BNY Mellon, Citi, Clearstream, Computershare, Deutsche Bank, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, and State Street. The newly secured capital will be deployed to scale the platform and team, expand product offerings, and reach broader international markets.
Originally incubated within Citi through its internal innovation programmes, the platform provides transparent proxy voting and automated shareholder identification. The consortium structure aims to position the company for accelerated global growth, particularly across European markets ahead of regulatory changes.
From the founder
"We’re extremely proud of what Proxymity has achieved so far within Citi since we developed the platform in 2017. To date, Proxymity has supported over 3,000 shareholder meetings and, after successful pilots, we’ve fully launched the platform in the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and Australia, as well as a pilot in Spain,"

Dean Little
Co-Founder at Proxymity
Investor perspective
"As an industry-led platform, Proxymity will offer clarity and promote excellence in a market that has needed to improve its efficiencies and transparency. We look forward to not only helping to shape Proxymity’s future, but that of the industry as a whole too."
