ProFinda secures £1m from Nesta Impact Investments to develop workforce skills platform
Nesta Impact Investments backed the round to support workforce optimisation and collective intelligence.
ProFinda provides an artificial intelligence platform designed to help global professional services firms match employee skills with project requirements. The company employs roughly one hundred staff and counts major advisory firms among its clients.
ProFinda has secured £1m in funding from Nesta Impact Investments to expand its market reach and technology. The investment will support the company in deploying its workforce mapping platform to non-profit organisations and enhancing its proprietary machine learning intellectual property.
The company uses semantic parsing and skills ontology to help enterprises better understand and utilise the capabilities of their total workforce. Nesta backed the round based on ProFinda alignment with its focus on the future of work and collective intelligence.
The fresh capital follows years of commercial deployments across professional services firms, private banks, and disaster management bodies. ProFinda intends to use the backing to scale its social impact initiatives alongside corporate growth.
