PredictImmune develops pioneering prognostic tools for guiding treatment options and improving patient outcomes in immune-mediated diseases. The company offers products such as PredictSURE IBD to support personalised medicine.

PredictImmune has secured £10m in a Series B funding round led by BGF, with participation from existing backers Parkwalk and Cambridge Enterprise alongside new investor Cambridge Innovation Capital. The capital will support the company as it scales its commercial presence internationally across Europe and the United States. In addition, the funds will be directed towards expanding its product pipeline, particularly within inflammatory bowel disease and additional autoimmune conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus.

The Cambridge-based firm specialises in prognostic tools designed to personalise treatment choices for patients with immune-mediated conditions. Its flagship product, PredictSURE IBD, provides clinicians with prognostic insights at the point of diagnosis to help differentiate between milder and more aggressive forms of the disease. The latest financing builds on prior growth and solidifies the company position as it works to broaden the reach of its diagnostic platform.

Investor perspective

"Parkwalk are delighted to continue to support the ground breaking technology from Dr Ken Smith’s laboratory at Addenbrookes, which enables the prognosis of IBD and an earlier clinical decision as to the correct drug treatment. This will significantly improve clinical outcomes and enhance patient welfare. The team at PredictImmune have done a magnificent job in productising the technology and are now taking the tests on their commercial pathway. We look forward to seeing the platform extended to benefit clinical outcomes in further diseases."
