Georgian led the round with participation from Twilio Ventures and previous investors.
PolyAI builds enterprise voice assistants powered by conversational artificial intelligence for major global brands. The company helps organisations manage high volumes of customer service calls through natural spoken interactions.
London based enterprise voice assistant provider PolyAI has secured £34.5m in a Series B funding round led by Georgian. The raise included participation from Twilio Ventures and existing backers Khosla Ventures, Point72 Ventures, and Amadeus Capital Partners. The fresh capital brings the total amount raised by the business to £70m.
PolyAI offers a proprietary suite of technologies designed to handle customer service calls for major brands including FedEx, Marriott hotels, and Whitbread. The platform operates on a trust based dialogue paradigm that enables callers to speak naturally while measuring satisfaction and transferring to human staff if necessary.
Founders Nikola Mrkšić, Tsung Hsien Wen, and Pei Hao Su established the business in 2017 after developing deep learning breakthroughs in conversational AI at the University of Cambridge. The company plans to use the latest backing to scale its operations.
