The extension round was led by Forward Partners and MMC Ventures to support ongoing growth.
PocDoc provides smartphone based diagnostic technology for cardio, metabolic, and renal screening. The platform delivers near instant health results for patients in community and home settings.
PocDoc has secured £2.5m in a seed extension round led by existing backers Forward Partners and MMC Ventures. The financing also saw participation from Simplyhealth Ventures alongside angel investors including the founders of Graze and Skin + Me, as well as representatives from McLaren and TAG Heuer. The capital will support the company as it expands its operations and pharmacy customer base following recent NHS contract wins for cholesterol testing. Alongside the funding, Keith Gibbs has joined the company as chair.

We are thrilled to add Simplyhealth Ventures and look forward to working with them as we look forward to growing in the UK and beyond in the next 12 months."

Investor perspective
"We’re pleased to help support PocDoc with the round. Steve and the team have built a fantastic product that can improve access to testing and follow on treatment for cardiovascular disease, which is a huge issue for people across the UK – and the world. The involvement of further high-profile investors and a fantastic new Chair strengthens the business and further validates their approach. We look forward to seeing their progress in the coming months."
