Plastometrex has secured a seed investment round led by Element Materials Technology, with additional backing from Vanneck EIS and Reimagined Capital. The funds will support the commercial expansion of the company's flagship Indentation Plastometer across key sectors including aerospace, automotive, and testing laboratories. Furthermore, the capital will finance the creation of a broader product ecosystem covering residual stresses, plasticity, and creep parameters, alongside portable measurement hardware.
The Cambridge company combines numerical modelling, machine learning, and materials science to deliver rapid non-destructive testing solutions. Its core product measures full stress-strain curves and metal strength parameters efficiently. Backing from Element Materials Technology is expected to accelerate commercial progress and broaden market access for the firm.
