Placed provides a recruitment platform that connects brands with younger job seekers using matchmaking algorithms and engaging content instead of traditional CVs. The service helps major retail and hospitality employers streamline hiring processes for frontline staff.
Placed has secured £4m in new funding from venture capital firms Praetura Ventures and Blackfinch Ventures. The capital will be directed towards software development, new product features, and team expansion.
The investment coincides with changes to the company board, welcoming Dominic McGregor of Praetura Ventures and Bill Boorman of Blackfinch Ventures as non-executive directors. The latest round brings the total capital raised by the platform to £7m.
The company operates a matching service for employers such as PizzaExpress, Sky, and Lidl, addressing persistent staffing shortages in the hospitality and service sectors.
