PitchMe operates a skills-based talent marketplace that matches candidate abilities with suitable job vacancies. The platform employs big data algorithms to vet applicants anonymously and bypass traditional CV screening.

PitchMe has secured £920k in a seed funding round to support its skills-based talent platform. The investment was led by Starta Ventures, with participation from a UK-based family office and several angel investors.

The London-based startup replaces traditional CV screening with a methodology designed by behavioural scientists, extracting candidate data from over sixty online sources to present anonymous profiles to employers. The company counts Revolut, Typeform, and Intercom among its users.

Dina Bayasanova, chief executive of PitchMe, noted that remote recruitment demands have driven a threefold increase in demand for the profiling service.

From the founder

"As employers across industries try to take advantage of the talent surplus caused by COVID-19, we are seeing an increasing demand for a more accurate assessment of skills – this has led to a 300% growth in demand for our profiling and matching services. We are thrilled to have secured funding to continue in our mission to make the future of work more inclusive and connect the right talent with the right opportunities for their personal and professional growth, regardless of background."
