Pitchbooking has secured a significant new investment from entrepreneur Cecil Hetherington, who has become the firm's largest individual shareholder outside of the founding team. The fresh capital will be directed towards accelerating expansion across the UK and Ireland while advancing product development to support sports organisations globally.
Founded in 2018, the Belfast enterprise has established itself as a market leader in sports facility management, having processed more than £25m in bookings over the past year. Its operating system powers clients ranging from national football associations to professional club foundations and local authorities.
Hetherington brings extensive experience from his previous ventures, including Used Cars NI and PropertyPal. His ongoing support underscores confidence in the company's trajectory as it scales its digital infrastructure for the sports sector.
