Perlego secures £15.2m in funding led by Sir Terry Leahy to expand international reach and develop AI tools.

The financing round was led by Sir Terry Leahy and will support international expansion and artificial intelligence product development.
Perlego operates a subscription-based digital library that provides unlimited access to academic, professional, and non-fiction titles. The platform partners with thousands of publishers to serve learners and educational institutions across the globe.
Perlego has secured £15.2m in fresh funding led by former Tesco chief executive Sir Terry Leahy, bringing its total capital raised to $75m. The latest financing round also saw backing from ITHAKA, MediaHuis, Raine, KPN Ventures, and the founders of Kahoot. The company will use the capital to support international expansion and develop new artificial intelligence products, including the newly launched research assistant Dialogo.
The London-based digital library partners with numerous international publishers to offer educational content in multiple languages. The platform is currently utilised across more than 250 institutions worldwide to streamline academic research and source discovery for students.
