Perci Health raises £1.5m in seed funding from cancer doctors to launch its recovery platform.
The online cancer recovery platform secured its seed backing from a group of prominent oncologists and surgeons.
Perci Health operates an online platform providing multidisciplinary, supportive care for individuals throughout their cancer journey. The company connects patients and caregivers with vetted cancer professionals via specialised digital programmes.
Perci Health has secured £1.5m in seed funding to launch its online cancer recovery platform. The capital was provided by a collective of oncologists and cancer surgeons from major medical centres across the UK. The platform aims to improve long-term survivorship by offering patients access to vetted specialists who manage ongoing physical, mental, and emotional needs after primary treatment.
Co-founded by Kelly McCabe and Morgan Fitzsimons, the company looks to address the gaps in traditional aftercare by connecting patients with qualified dietitians, psychologists, and nurses. The funding will support the rollout of the service as the company seeks to expand access to holistic cancer support.
From the founder
"People living with cancer experience a wide range of physical and psychosocial effects. Despite the fantastic treatment traditional healthcare providers offer, they’re not well-equipped to manage these diverse, on-going, personalised needs thereafter – and once the primary cancer treatment has come to an end, many people describe feeling ‘abandoned’."
