Peptone is a molecular computational physics company that applies advanced biophysics, atomic-level experiments, and machine learning to drug discovery.
Peptone has secured $40m in a Series A funding round led by F-Prime Capital. The round included participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Walden Catalyst Ventures, Hoxton Ventures, and dRX Capital.
The capital will be used to build a new research facility in Switzerland, support the company algorithmic engine, and advance its drug discovery platform targeting disordered proteins involved in diseases such as cancer and diabetes.
The London-based biotech firm combines nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, hydrogen-exchange mass spectrometry, machine learning, and supercomputing to model intrinsically disordered proteins that traditional drug discovery methods fail to target.
