Pepper provides a mobile payments and digital loyalty platform that allows retailers and hospitality businesses to offer branded apps to customers.

Pepper, a London-based mobile payments and digital loyalty platform, has closed a £1.1m funding round featuring backing from London Business Angels, the LBA EIS Roundtable Syndicate Fund 2015, and the London Co-Investment Fund. The capital will be deployed to expand the company technical and sales teams as it scales operations.

The platform enables hospitality and retail merchants to deploy branded mobile applications that support discovery, payments, and loyalty programmes. The fresh funding follows commercial traction across the UK and the US.

Harbottle and Lewis acted as legal adviser for the transaction.
