Patchwork Health has secured a £20m Series B investment to address workforce pressures within the health service. The round was led by Perwyn, with participation from Praetura Ventures, KHP Ventures, and angel investors including Tom Blomfield and Dominic McGregor. The funding will support product development, team expansion, and broader market reach.
The company provides digital tools designed to help healthcare sites manage permanent and temporary staff through a single system. Its platform aims to reduce reliance on expensive locum agencies, facilitate collaborative staff banks between NHS trusts, and offer flexible rostering solutions for clinicians.

As the world of work shifts around them, NHS staff are locked into rigid schedules whilst demand escalates. This is pushing clinicians out of healthcare careers as they’re too exhausted to continue. And that heaps further pressure on those who remain. It’s a vicious cycle we can ill-afford. Too many clinicians have, like myself and my co-founder, found themselves trapped in a schedule which can grind you down and push you out of a career you love."
