Paragraf raises £45m Series B funding led by New Science Ventures to scale manufacturing and research.

The Series B round was led by New Science Ventures to support international growth and manufacturing expansion.
Paragraf develops and manufactures scalable graphene-based electronic devices as an alternative to traditional silicon components. The firm uses contamination-free technology to supply advanced sensors across sectors such as aerospace, automotive and quantum computing.
Paragraf has secured £45m in Series B funding to accelerate its international expansion and enhance research capabilities. The round was led by New Science Ventures, with participation from Parkwalk, Amadeus Capital Partners, IQ Capital, Molten Ventures, British Patient Capital, and In-Q-Tel.
The capital will be directed towards scaling operations across the UK, US, EU, and Asia, boosting research and development, and expanding manufacturing infrastructure for the firm's graphene products.
From the founder
"Our increasing desire for continually improving electronic device performance paired with the absolute necessity to reduce our power requirements, and hence carbon footprints, demands new technology solutions – next generation materials will be at the heart of this. At Paragraf we are proud to be leading the way, bringing the first 2D material, graphene, into the electronic product supply chain, through our first products, allowing its transformational, game changing properties and benefits to be harnessed."
Simon Thomas
CEO at Paragraf
Investor perspective
"Developing and manufacturing at scale, graphene-based sensors and electronics devices, has been a major challenge to industry. Paragraf has met that challenge and is delivering commercial products with order of magnitude improvements in product performance. We are thrilled to lead this financing and to join Simon and the Paragraf team in building a company focused on addressing some of today’s greatest needs."
