OutSee is a genomics and drug discovery company that uses predictive AI to identify therapeutic targets. The firm applies its Nomaly platform to precision medicine and target discovery.
Cambridge-based genomics firm OutSee has secured £1.8m in seed funding to advance its proprietary predictive technology and expand its internal target discovery pipeline. The financing round was led by Ahren Innovation Capital, with participation from Kadmos Capital, Empirical Ventures and Panacea Ventures.
The capital will be directed towards broadening the reach of the company's AI-powered Nomaly platform, which uses hypothesis-free modelling to analyse genomic data. OutSee intends to use the funds to accelerate in-house target identification programmes and forge new partnerships across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
Founded by Dr Julian Gough, the company previously secured grant funding from Innovate UK for precision medicine research. This latest injection of venture capital marks a key operational phase as the firm scales its operations from its base in Cambridge.
