Ori Biotech has secured £23.2m in a Series A funding round led by Northpond Ventures and Octopus Ventures. The round also drew participation from existing backers including Amadeus Capital Partners, Delin Ventures, and Kindred Capital. The capital will be used to bring the company manufacturing platform to market and advance its technology into clinical settings.

The financing follows previous backing and brings the total capital raised by the company to date to £31.6m. Ori Biotech aims to address longstanding manufacturing bottlenecks in the cell and gene therapy sector through automation and standardisation.
