Operational Solutions secures £3.5m from BGF to advance counter-drone technologies.
The follow-on funding from BGF brings the company's total raised to £11.5m.
Operational Solutions is a counter-drone technology company based in Reading, UK, providing security systems for major airports and public venues. The firm employs a proprietary intelligent software platform named FACE to address the security challenges posed by unmanned aircraft systems.
Operational Solutions has secured £3.5m in follow-on funding from existing backer BGF. The capital will be deployed to support ongoing technological advancement, product development, and staff expansion as demand increases across the counter-drone sector.
The business has grown significantly since a previous £8m investment in 2021, reporting a 50% increase in revenue and team growth exceeding 50% over the past year. OSL currently supplies major clients including Heathrow Airport and Wembley Stadium, alongside leading the Project HADO consortium.
BGF continues its backing following the initial 2021 investment, noting the rising importance of comprehensive situational awareness and counter-drone capabilities. The latest funds will allow the firm to scale operations and extend its presence across critical national infrastructure and events markets.
