OpenWorks Engineering raises a seven-figure sum from Adderstone Group to expand production of drone defence systems

OpenWorks Engineering builds security and counter-terrorism products, including the SkyWall drone capture system used by government authorities and militaries.
OpenWorks Engineering has secured a seven-figure investment from Adderstone Group to scale up manufacturing of its SkyWall drone defence systems and advance research into new product lines. The funding marks Adderstone Group's second foray into engineering investments, following its previous support of Turbo Power Systems.
Based in Northumberland, OpenWorks has spent recent years developing specialist physical security equipment that is deployed globally to protect critical infrastructure and public figures. The partnership with Adderstone Group will allow the firm to meet rising international demand for its counter-drone technology.
