OpenTrade secures £5.1m in seed funding led by Notion Capital and Mercury Fund to scale infrastructure

The financing round was led by Notion Capital and Mercury Fund to accelerate go-to-market and product development.
OpenTrade provides institutional-grade infrastructure that allows fintechs and neobanks to offer real-world asset-backed stablecoin yield products. Its platform connects digital asset holders with dollar and euro denominated returns.
OpenTrade has secured £5.1m in a seed funding round led by Notion Capital and Mercury Fund, with participation from existing backers including AlbionVC, a16z crypto, and CMCC Global. The fresh capital arrives as the company brings its total funding past the $11m threshold within a six-month period, reflecting growing institutional appetite for its stablecoin yield products. The company intends to direct the proceeds towards accelerating its go-to-market strategy through enhanced product development, engineering capabilities, and operational expansion.
The London-based platform offers a yield-as-a-service model deployed by neobanks and exchanges across Europe and Latin America, providing everyday users with access to returns on dollar and euro holdings. Having processed significant transaction volumes and managed millions in client assets, OpenTrade aims to scale its infrastructure to reach individuals historically excluded from traditional banking yields.
