Ontik provides financial infrastructure and workflow automation for business-to-business wholesalers. The firm targets traditional industries reliant on manual processes to streamline trade credit operations.

Ontik has secured £2.8m in a seed financing round led by Firstminute Capital. The company plans to deploy the capital to support its expansion within the trade credit sector, helping traditional wholesalers transition from manual spreadsheets to automated digital workflows. Additional backing came from PT1, Illusian, FJ Labs, Seed X, Tiny, and a selection of strategic angel investors.

The London-based startup addresses inefficiencies in high-volume, low-margin sectors such as building materials. Its platform integrates directly with enterprise resource planning systems to manage the order-to-cash lifecycle, reduce chase times for payments, and accelerate cash collection for merchants.

From the founder

"B2B wholesalers are the financial engine of the real economy but most are still managing credit with spreadsheets, phone calls and handwritten notes. We’re giving them modern, automated workflows that save hours every day and unlock serious operational efficiency."
