OneHive secures £2m from Ridown Group to scale its AI meeting assistant
The seed round was provided by Hampshire investment firm Ridown Group to support the rollout of Echo AI.
OneHive has developed Echo AI, an intelligent meeting assistant designed to enhance productivity across British businesses. The software joins virtual calls to generate transcripts, summaries, sentiment analysis, and actionable follow-ups.
OneHive has secured £2m in seed funding from Hampshire-based investor Ridown Group. The capital will support the commercial rollout of Echo AI, an automated meeting assistant designed for British enterprises.
Created by young entrepreneurs Ben O'Nion and Charlie Gray, the software integrates with platforms such as Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet. It provides automated transcripts, summaries, and sentiment analysis while ensuring data compliance within the UK.
The investment follows early trials of the technology with major brands including Vodafone, Starbucks UK, and JCB.
From the founder
"Echo AI exists to help teams become more efficient, ensuring they stay on track and don’t miss outcomes, action points, and context in meetings. Productivity can suffer when people lose track of meetings, fail to remember what was said and agreed, and are not clear about the actions they are responsible for. Echo AI takes all the guesswork out of it, giving everyone an accurate record of the meeting and what was agreed. Businesses which have used Echo AI tell us that it creates time, reduces misunderstandings and slip-ups, and helps keep teams focused on tasks."
