OKHi raises £1.4m in seed funding from Angel Investment Network to expand across Nigeria and beyond.
The digital addressing startup secured backing from Angel Investment Network to fund international expansion and double its headcount.
OKHi provides digital addressing infrastructure designed for emerging markets to help businesses collect, verify, and navigate customer locations. The firm solves address verification issues that hinder financial inclusion for billions of people.
OKHi has secured £1.4m in a seed funding round supported by Angel Investment Network. The capital will be used to expand the team, capture the Nigerian market, and drive international growth beyond Africa.
Headquartered in Nairobi and registered in London, the company addresses the lack of reliable physical infrastructure for billions of people. Its technology enables accurate address collection and navigation, primarily serving the financial services sector. The firm recently launched in Nigeria alongside Interswitch Group.
The financing process closed within two months following strong demand from backers. The company aims to scale its operations globally after establishing its presence across emerging markets.
From the founder
"A physical address should be a human right. Whether it’s opening up a bank account or getting an ambulance to your door, every person on this planet deserves access to these services. This raise is a vital stepping stone to unlock our growth into Nigeria as well as explore new markets across Africa, Middle East and Asia. The Angel Investment Network was instrumental in our fundraising success and has really helped us on our Mission to enable half the world without a physical address to “be included.”"
