Nexcade provides agentic automation software designed to streamline workflows for global freight forwarders. The platform unifies fragmented data and manages unstructured communications across logistics operations.

Nexcade has emerged from stealth with £1.9m in pre-seed funding to develop its agentic automation platform for logistics teams. Connect Ventures led the round, with participation from MMC Ventures, Entropy Industrial Capital, Inovia, and angel investors Charlie Songhurst and Keith Wallington.

The capital will support the company as it scales its AI products, which are built to handle pricing, quoting, and procurement workflows in the freight forwarding sector. Global supply chains currently rely heavily on manual processes and unstructured communications, creating operational bottlenecks that Nexcade aims to resolve.

The funding arrives during a period of margin pressure and rate volatility for freight operators. Early traction includes partnerships with forwarders such as Zencargo, Cardinal Global Logistics, and XPO.

From the founder

"While the TMS is the system of record for our customers, many of the conversations, decisions and data that drive freight never make it inside. That missing information is where revenue is lost and service breaks down. Bridging that gap is the only way to unlock real automation and enable the revenue growth and operational resilience forwarders need in today's market. Rates and contracts underpin freight forwarding, and are especially pertinent in the current environment. Starting here enables the biggest commercial impact for our customers while building the core grounding for future automation for our customers."
