Neurovalens raises £4.6m Series A funding led by Wharton Asset Management to expand medical trials.

The Belfast-based health technology firm secured Series A backing from investors including Wharton Asset Management and IQ Capital to advance its neurological research and medical trials.

Neurovalens is a health technology business that develops non-invasive neurostimulation medical devices to treat conditions such as diabetes, insomnia, anxiety and obesity.

Neurovalens has secured £4.6m in a Series A funding round led by Wharton Asset Management, with participation from IQ Capital, Techstart Ventures, Clarendon Fund Management, Beltrae Partners, and the Angel CoFund.

The capital will support further medical trials addressing obesity and type 2 diabetes, alongside broader research into conditions such as insomnia, epilepsy, and mental health.

The Belfast-based firm is known for creating Modius, a headset that non-invasively stimulates areas of the brain associated with cravings and appetite. The funding arrives as the company prepares for upcoming medical device approvals and expands its scientific research.
