Nettle secures £1.5m in pre-seed funding from Project A to expand its AI risk assessment platform
The pre-seed round was led by Project A to help scale the core engineering team.
Nettle provides an AI-powered risk assessment platform that streamlines commercial insurance processes and reduces evaluation times.
Nettle has secured £1.5m in pre-seed funding led by Project A, alongside participation from angel investors representing major insurers, startups, and artificial intelligence leaders. The company will use the capital to scale its core engineering team and further develop its risk assessment platform.
The insurance sector faces mounting pressure from a shrinking pool of veteran risk engineers, leading to severe inspection backlogs and lost commercial opportunities. Nettle applies artificial intelligence to automate paperwork and accelerate assessments, enabling early partners to reduce turnaround times significantly.
